Description
Bosca Spumante di Qualità Mille Giorni Rosé Brut Millesimato is a refined Italian sparkling rosé from Piemonte, crafted for those moments when you slow down and truly pay attention. Made from Chardonnay and Pinot Nero, it’s a poised, elegant wine that balances freshness with gentle complexity. "Mille Giorni" – a thousand days – hints at the care and time devoted to its creation, turning an ordinary occasion into something quietly special.
Tasting Notes
In the glass, Mille Giorni Rosé shows a delicate, shimmering pink color with fine, persistent bubbles that form a soft, creamy mousse. The nose is inviting and precise: notes of wild strawberries, raspberry and redcurrant are layered with hints of citrus zest, white flowers and a subtle touch of fresh brioche.
On the palate, this Brut Rosé is dry and vibrant, with a lively, refreshing acidity that lifts the red fruit flavors. You’ll find crunchy strawberry, pomegranate and a hint of blood orange, supported by a subtle mineral backbone and a clean, pleasantly crisp finish. The texture is smooth and well-balanced, making it both an excellent aperitif and versatile at the table. Enjoy it in its youth for maximum freshness and fruit, though a short period of bottle aging will further round out the mousse and integrate the flavors.
Production
Sourced from vineyards in Piemonte, Mille Giorni Rosé reflects the region’s cool nights and sunny days, which help Chardonnay and Pinot Nero ripen slowly while preserving acidity and fragrance. Grapes are harvested at optimal ripeness for sparkling wine, typically picked by hand to maintain berry integrity and freshness. After gentle pressing, the base wines are vinified separately in temperature-controlled stainless steel to preserve delicate fruit aromas, then blended to achieve the desired style and color. The secondary fermentation, carried out using the Charmat (tank) method or an extended tank aging, allows Bosca to craft a vibrant, finely-bubbled rosé that emphasizes purity of fruit and a polished, modern profile.
Food & Serving
Mille Giorni Rosé Brut is a natural partner for aperitivo moments and light, refined dishes. Try it with classic Piemontese starters such as vitello tonnato, delicate charcuterie, or agnolotti al plin, as well as sushi, seafood tartare, grilled prawns, or fresh goat cheese salads. It also works beautifully with lightly spiced Asian dishes and salmon in all forms, from smoked to poached. Serve well-chilled at about 6–8°C (43–46°F). Decanting is not necessary; simply open the bottle a few minutes before serving to let the aromas unfold in the glass.
