Tasting Notes
In the glass, it shows a deep ruby-red color. The nose is fragrant and layered, with red and dark cherries, raspberries, ripe black plums, and a lifted thread of thyme, black tea, clove, and nutmeg. On the palate, the wine is deep, elegant, and finely structured, with dark and red fruit at the core. Silky tannins support the fruit without overwhelming it, while the finish is long and gently spiced. It already drinks beautifully now, but should also reward a few years in bottle if you want the secondary notes to develop further.

Production
The fruit comes from Renaissance Vineyard in Bannockburn, Central Otago, a region known for its cool climate, intense daylight, and ability to produce Pinot Noir with both ripeness and finesse. The grapes are hand-harvested, and the wine is matured in French oak barrels for around a year, allowing the fruit, spice, and structure to integrate without losing freshness.

Food & Serving
This Pinot Noir pairs naturally with duck, roast chicken, pheasant, mushroom dishes, and lamb, as well as salmon or tuna with a savory glaze. Serve it slightly chilled, ideally around 14–16°C, and decanting for 30–60 minutes can help open up the aromatics and soften the texture.
