Crafted from Sangiovese with supporting parcels of Canaiolo Nero and Colorino, it captures both the elegance and energy that have made Colore a benchmark wine in Tuscany.

Tasting Notes
In the glass, it shows a transparent ruby-red hue with vivid violet reflections. The nose is initially reserved and linear, then gradually unfolds with rose petals and pomegranate before developing richer layers of blackberry and blueberry jam, cocoa, coffee, orange peel, eucalyptus, sandalwood, medicinal herbs, liquorice, and a Mediterranean spice note. The palate is highly polished and finely composed, with striking freshness, elegant tannins, and beautifully integrated alcohol. Despite its intensity and depth, the wine remains graceful and precise, finishing long and persistent. This is a wine built for aging, with the structure and concentration to develop beautifully over time.

Production
Made in Toscana IGT, Colore 2020 comes from a carefully selected blend of 80% Sangiovese, 10% Canaiolo Nero, and 10% Colorino. The wine is spontaneously fermented in open barriques, with manual punching down/topping practices carried out eight times daily to extract aroma, texture, and depth while preserving finesse. It is then aged for 30 months in barriques, a process that enhances complexity, polish, and long-term cellaring potential.

Food & Serving
This is a serious Tuscan red that pairs beautifully with rich dishes such as bistecca alla Fiorentina, slow-braised beef, game, roast lamb, and truffle-based pasta. It also works well with aged pecorino and other mature hard cheeses. Serve at around 16–18°C, and decanting for at least one to two hours is recommended to allow the wine’s aromatic layers and structure to fully open.
