Tasting Notes
In the glass, Colore 2016 typically shows a deep ruby hue with elegant concentration. The nose is layered and aromatic, with notes of ripe red cherries, wild berries, dried flowers, spice, and a subtle earthy, mineral edge that reflects its old-vine origins. On the palate, it is vivid and complex, combining Sangiovese’s bright acidity with fine-grained tannins and a graceful, savory core. Production
Colore comes from ancient vineyards planted on lean soils of sand and stone, conditions that naturally limit vigor and encourage small, concentrated berries.
