Made from Corvina and Rondinella grown in the historic Valpolicella Classica zone, it combines tradition, patience, and precision in a wine that has been at the heart of Bertani’s Amarone story since 1958.

Tasting Notes
In the glass, expect a deep, concentrated ruby color with the depth and intensity typical of carefully appassimento-style Amarone. The nose is layered and complex, with ripe dark fruit, dried cherry, plum, and a subtle savory, spicy lift from extended drying and aging. On the palate, it is powerful yet refined, with rich fruit, impressive structure, and a long, persistent finish. The balance between ripe concentration, freshness, and fine tannins suggests excellent aging potential, allowing the wine to evolve beautifully over many years.

Production
The grapes come from Tenuta Novare in the heart of Valpolicella Classica, where the vineyards are dedicated exclusively to the production of grapes for drying. After harvest, the Corvina and Rondinella grapes are laid out on traditional bamboolike "aréle" racks to dry slowly, concentrating flavor, sugar, and texture before vinification.

Food & Serving
This Amarone is a superb match for braised meats, game, roasted beef, mature hard cheeses, and rich mushroom-based dishes. Serve at around 16-18°C, and decant for at least an hour before serving to fully open its aromatic depth and soften the structure.
