The nose is inviting and pure, typically marked by fresh red berries—think wild strawberry and raspberry—alongside hints of redcurrant, rose petals and a subtle citrus lift. On the palate, this Crémant Rosé is dry, vibrant and elegantly textured, with a lively backbone of acidity that keeps the wine fresh from start to finish. Expect flavours of crunchy red berries, blood orange and a touch of stone fruit, underpinned by gentle brioche or pastry notes from its time on lees. Production
Sourced from family-owned vineyards around Kaysersberg in the heart of Alsace, Bernard Haas Crémant Rosé reflects a cool, continental terroir of well-drained, mineral-rich soils that help preserve acidity and aromatic intensity. The grapes—typically dominated by Pinot Noir for colour and structure—are harvested by hand to ensure only healthy, perfectly ripe bunches reach the winery. After a gentle pressing to achieve its pale rosé hue, the base wine is fermented at controlled temperatures to retain freshness, then undergoes a second fermentation in bottle in the traditional method. Extended aging on the lees adds fine bubbles, subtle creaminess and complexity before riddling, disgorgement and a carefully judged dosage complete the process.

This Crémant Rosé is a versatile partner at the table. It pairs beautifully with smoked salmon, sushi, charcuterie, cured ham, and lighter poultry dishes, as well as goat’s cheese, soft-rind cheeses and savoury tarts. On the lighter side, try it with summer salads featuring berries or citrus, or simply serve it as a refined aperitif. For optimal enjoyment, serve well-chilled at 6–8°C (43–46°F). Decanting is not necessary; simply open the bottle a few minutes before serving to let the aromas blossom in the glass.

The Bernard Haas estate is a traditional family-run domaine based in Kaysersberg, in one of Alsace’s most storied wine landscapes. For generations, the Haas family has farmed around 10 hectares of vineyards, including parcels in the renowned Grand Cru Schlossberg, a testament to the quality of their holdings. Today, Nathalie and Marc work alongside the next generation, Elsa and Dylan, combining deep local knowledge with a fresh, meticulous approach in the cellar. Their wines—across the range—are consistently recognised for their purity, precision and high quality, placing Bernard Haas among the notable, if understated, producers of premium Alsace wines.
