Belle Glos Dairyman Pinot Noir 2021 is a richly styled California Pinot Noir from the sun-drenched Russian River Valley, consistently ranked among the top Pinot Noirs on Vivino from the region. Crafted from Dijon clones and shaped by cool Pacific breezes, it offers a bold, broad-shouldered expression of Pinot Noir with plenty of depth and personality.

Tasting Notes
In the glass, it shows a deep, dark ruby color that hints at its concentration. The nose opens with inviting layers of boysenberry, dark cherry, mulberry, dill, cola, nutmeg, and vanilla, creating an aromatic profile that is both ripe and complex. On the palate, this 2021 vintage is intense and plush, with flavors of cranberry, ripe plum, strawberry, fig, and a touch of cocoa. The wine has the structure and richness to be enjoyed now, but it can also develop nicely over the next five years for those who prefer a more integrated expression.

Production
Dairyman comes from a vineyard in the sunny Russian River Valley, where the vines benefit from the cooling influence of Pacific winds that help preserve freshness in the fruit. First planted in 2000 with Dijon clones of Pinot Noir, the site is known for producing concentrated, generously textured grapes. Winemaker Joe Wagner ages the wine for 9 months in French oak, including 60% new barrels, adding spice, vanilla, and extra depth to the finished wine.

Food & Serving
This is a versatile Pinot Noir for richer dishes such as roast duck, pork tenderloin, grilled salmon, mushroom risotto, or herb-crusted chicken. Serve it slightly below room temperature, ideally around 16–18°C, and give it a short decant if opening now to help the aromatics fully open.
