Bellavista Franciacorta Teatro alla Scala Brut 2022 is a refined traditional-method sparkling wine from Lombardy, blending Chardonnay and Pinot Noir into a cuvée known for its fine mousse and layered character. Dedicated to Milan’s celebrated Teatro alla Scala opera house, it reflects Franciacorta’s reputation for elegant, bottle-aged sparkling wines.

Tasting Notes
Bright and clear in the glass, with a delicate, persistent stream of fine bubbles. The nose opens with hawthorn and white fruit, followed by candied citrus, balsamic hints of bay leaf and subtle notes of pastry.

Production
The grapes come from carefully selected Bellavista parcels around Erbusco, where south- to southeast-facing vineyards lie at elevations of approximately 180–350 metres. The vines are trained using the Guyot system. After careful bunch selection, the base wines are fermented in stainless steel, with a portion matured in small French oak barrels. The wine then undergoes bottle fermentation and spends at least 36 months on its lees, developing its creamy texture and complexity.

Food & Serving
Serve well chilled, around 8–10°C, with raw shellfish, elegant seafood starters or herb-scented risotto. Its creamy texture and citrus notes also suit delicate savoury dishes. Decanting is not necessary; serve from a flute or, for a fuller expression of its aromas, a tulip-shaped sparkling-wine glass.
