Begali Lorenzo Amarone della Valpolicella Classico Vigneto Monte Ca' Bianca 2018 is a flagship Amarone from one of Valpolicella’s most respected family producers. Made from a carefully selected blend of Corvina, Corvinone, Rondinella, and the rare Oseleta, it delivers the depth, richness, and complexity that have made Amarone one of Italy’s most celebrated wines.

Tasting Notes
In the glass, this Amarone shows a deep, dark ruby color with a concentrated core. The bouquet is generous and layered, with aromas of blackberries, dark cherries, mocha, dark chocolate, cola, and warm spice. On the palate, it is full-bodied and powerful, with intense ripe fruit, velvety texture, and a long, warming finish that carries through the same decadent notes found on the nose. Thanks to its concentration, structure, and oak maturation, it has excellent aging potential and should continue to evolve beautifully for many years.

Production
The grapes are hand-harvested from Vigneto Monte Ca' Bianca in the Classico heartland of Valpolicella, where the vineyard’s hillside position and Veneto terroir help preserve balance and aromatic intensity. After harvest, the fruit is dried until February using the traditional appassimento method, concentrating flavor, sugar, and structure before pressing. Following fermentation, the wine matures for four years in a combination of barriques and larger French oak casks, adding depth, polish, and spice while preserving the wine’s powerful fruit character.

Food & Serving
This Amarone is a natural match for rich dishes such as braised beef, venison, game, truffle pasta, and aged hard cheeses. It is also excellent with slow-cooked lamb or hearty mushroom dishes. Serve at 16–18°C, and consider decanting for at least 1–2 hours to fully open up its aromas and soften the structure.
