Tasting Notes
The wine shows a deep, alluring ruby hue in the glass. Aromatically, it opens with smoky cherry, blackberry, dark cherry, wild strawberry, incense, spice, and a subtle touch of baking chocolate and crushed stone. On the palate, it is medium to full-bodied with a velvety, supple texture, refined tannins, and vibrant acidity that carries the fruit beautifully. There is notable concentration and a long, harmonious finish with impressive balance and definition. This is a wine with excellent aging potential, and it should gain further complexity over the next 8–15 years, if not longer in a well-kept cellar.

Production
The 3.91-hectare monopole parcel lies on the mid-slope of Beaune’s Les Grèves, where the stony soils and well-exposed site help Pinot Noir achieve both ripeness and finesse. The vineyard is currently undergoing piecemeal replanting, preserving the integrity of the site while renewing its vines for the future. Vinification at Bouchard Père & Fils is carried out with great care in their gravity-flow cellar, allowing the fruit to move gently through each stage and helping the wine retain purity, texture, and a clear sense of terroir.

Food & Serving
This is a superb match for roast duck, pigeon, lamb, beef tenderloin, game birds, or dishes with mushrooms and truffle. It also pairs beautifully with aged cheeses such as Époisses or Comté. Serve at 16–18°C, and consider decanting for 30–60 minutes in its youth to allow the aromatics and structure to open fully.
