Tasting Notes
In the glass, it shows a deep ruby-red color with violet reflections, hinting at its youthful energy and concentration. The nose is bright and expressive, opening with aromas of red fruit and delicate floral notes. On the palate, it is balanced and full-bodied, with good length and a satisfying, persistent finish. The wine’s structure suggests solid aging potential, allowing its savory complexity and tannins to evolve beautifully over time.

Production
Basilisco is born on the slopes of Mount Vulture, where 25 hectares of organically farmed vineyards benefit from volcanic soils rich in tuff and flysch layering. This unique terroir gives the wine its mineral backbone, freshness, and distinctive regional identity. The organic cultivation and careful vineyard work help preserve the purity and intensity of the Aglianico grape.

Food & Serving
This wine is an excellent match for red meat, especially grilled, roasted, or slow-cooked dishes. It is best served at 16–18°C, and decanting for about an hour is recommended to allow the wine to open up and show its full aromatic and textural complexity.
