Tasting Notes
In the glass, this Dry Madeira shows a warm amber-gold color. The nose opens with notes of dried fruit, anise, and a touch of burnt caramel, giving it an inviting and distinctly Madeiran profile. The palate is dry but full of flavor, with layers of toasted nuttiness, spice, and savory depth balanced by a subtle fruit sweetness. Its lively structure and concentrated character make it a wine that can stand up beautifully to salty and rich foods, and while it is ready to enjoy now, it also has the resilience to hold well once opened.

Production
This wine is made entirely from Tinta Negra, sourced from vineyards in Estreito de Câmara de Lobos and São Vicente, two areas that contribute to Madeira’s distinctive volcanic terroir and maritime freshness. After harvest, the wine is produced using the Estufagem method, in which warm water is circulated through the fermentation tanks to replicate the heat once experienced during Atlantic shipping and to develop Madeira’s signature toasted character. It is then aged for three years before release.

Food & Serving
Serve at around 13–14°C for the best balance of freshness and complexity. It is an excellent match for hard cheeses, cured meats, salted nuts, and other savory snacks, and it also pairs well with roasted almonds or tapas-style dishes. Decanting is not necessary.
