Baglio di Pianetto Nero d'Avola Merlot Ramione 2020

Baglio di Pianetto Ramione 2020 is the estate’s first red wine from Pianetto, and one that captures the soul of the property in a single bottle. Made as a tribute to former owner Baron Antonio Palizzolo di Ramione, who first introduced vine cultivation to the area, it combines generosity, harmony, and a strong sense of place in a smooth Sicilian red.

Tasting Notes
In the glass, Ramione shows a deep, inviting color that hints at its ripe, full-bodied style. The nose is expressive and layered, with dark fruit at the forefront, supported by warm Mediterranean spice and subtle earthy nuances. On the palate, it is soft, rounded, and well-balanced, with supple tannins and a pleasant sense of richness. The blend of Nero d’Avola and Merlot brings both structure and approachability, making for a wine that is immediately enjoyable while still having enough depth to develop further over the next few years.
