Arnot-Roberts Syrah 2022 is a striking cool-climate expression of California Syrah, built from fruit sourced across four Sonoma Coast vineyards: Clary Ranch, Que Syrah, Baker Lane, and Solas. With its unusually moderate 12% alcohol and transparent, terroir-driven style, it showcases the purity and elegance that have made Arnot-Roberts a benchmark name for thoughtful, site-specific winemaking.

Tasting Notes
In the glass, it shows a deep, ink-dark color that hints at its concentration without suggesting heaviness. The nose is layered and lifted, opening with dark cherries, blackberries, lavender, nutmeg, and subtle hints of mint. On the palate, it is bright and inviting, with the same dark fruit framed by freshly ground black pepper and savory southern French spice. The texture is lively and finely tuned rather than powerful, making it an especially expressive Syrah to enjoy young, though it should hold well for a few more years if stored properly.

Production
This Syrah is sourced from several cool sites along the Sonoma Coast, where the slow ripening season allows the fruit to develop gradually before harvest in November. The grapes are vinified with a focus on preserving freshness and place, then matured in neutral oak barrels so the fruit, acidity, and coastal terroir remain front and center in the finished wine.

Food & Serving
Serve this Syrah slightly cool, ideally around 16–18°C, to bring out its freshness and spice. It pairs beautifully with grilled lamb, roast duck, mushroom dishes, charcuterie, or herb-roasted vegetables, and while decanting is not essential, a short aeration can help open up the aromatics if served young.
