Argentiera Bolgheri Bianco Scenario 2024

Argentiera’s Scenario 2024 is a Bolgheri Bianco made from Vermentino, offering a distinctive expression of Tuscany’s coastal vineyards. Fermentation in ceramic vessels and un toasted wood gives the wine room to develop texture and depth while preserving the grape’s freshness; it has also received 94 points from both James Suckling and Decanter.

Production
The Vermentino comes from Argentiera’s southern Bolgheri vineyards, on coastal hills moderated by sea breezes. The varied soils include clay, limestone, marl, sand and flysch. Grapes are harvested by hand, then fermented at controlled temperatures partly in ceramic vessels and partly in un toasted wooden barrels, made with staves bent by steam. The wine spends nine months on fine lees in these vessels before a further maturation phase to bring its components into balance.

Food & Serving
Serve lightly chilled, around 10–12°C, with seafood, grilled fish or mature cheeses. Its texture and mineral character should also suit dishes with herbs or a gentle citrus accent. A short period in the glass can help open the aromas; decanting is not essential.

Its careful use of ceramic and un toasted wood is intended to build structure without masking the grape’s character. The wine was developed with Federico Girelli and Stéphane Derenoncourt and represents a distinctive interpretation of coastal Bolgheri.
