Anakota Cabernet Sauvignon Helena Dakota Vineyard 2019 is a striking, finely sculpted Sonoma County Cabernet that combines power with remarkable elegance. Crafted by vigneron Pierre Saillans from the Dakota Vineyard in the Knights Valley area, it reflects a classic, age-worthy style that has drawn comparisons to top Pauillac.

Tasting Notes
In the glass, it shows the deep, saturated color you’d expect from serious Cabernet Sauvignon. The nose is expressive and layered, with blackberry liqueur, dried blackcurrants, violets, Ceylon tea, red roses, tobacco leaf, and a faint hint of menthol. The palate is silky and concentrated, unfolding with dark fruit, black truffles, anise, cigar box, and clove, all carried by excellent balance and a long, memorable finish. It already delivers plenty of pleasure now, but it has the structure and depth to evolve beautifully over the next two decades.

Production
This is a 100% Cabernet Sauvignon sourced from Dakota Vineyard in Sonoma County, California. After pressing and fermentation, the wine matured for 13 months in French oak barrels, 70% of which were new, adding depth, polish, and subtle spice while preserving the wine’s precision and lift.

Food & Serving
This Cabernet Sauvignon pairs beautifully with grilled ribeye, lamb chops, braised short ribs, roast duck, or dishes with mushrooms and black truffle. Serve at 16–18°C, and decant for 1–2 hours if drinking young to let the wine fully open and show its layers.
