Allegrini’s Recioto della Valpolicella Classico Giovanni Allegrini is a beautifully crafted sweet red passito from one of Veneto’s most respected producers. Made from carefully selected Corvina, Corvinone, Rondinella and Oseleta grapes, it captures the richness, freshness and aromatic depth that have made Recioto one of Valpolicella’s most historic styles.

Tasting Notes
In the glass, it shows a deep ruby-red color. The nose is expressive and inviting, with ripe dark fruit, blackberry jam and subtle spicy notes that add complexity and warmth. On the palate, it is sweet yet remarkably fresh, balancing concentrated fruit with a lively structure that keeps the wine from feeling heavy. Its layered profile and natural vibrancy suggest good aging potential, allowing the fruit and spice elements to develop further over time.

Production
This Recioto della Valpolicella Classico comes from Veneto, where the grapes are selected with great care and then dried to concentrate their sugars and aromas before vinification. The blend is 40% Corvina, 40% Corvinone, 15% Rondinella and 5% Oseleta, creating both richness and structure in the finished wine.

Food & Serving
Serve slightly chilled, around 14–16°C, to preserve its freshness and aromatic lift. It pairs beautifully with chocolate desserts, almond pastries, berry-based tarts, or even blue cheeses; decanting is generally not necessary, but a short airing can help open the bouquet if desired.
