Description

Adami Prosecco Garbel Brut is a lively, finely crafted Prosecco that captures the fresh, vibrant character of Glera from the hills of Veneto. Dry yet juicy, it’s designed for pure drinking pleasure—equally at home as an aperitif or alongside light dishes. As one of the benchmark producers of quality Prosecco, Adami’s Garbel offers a polished, authentic taste of northern Italy in every glass.

Tasting Notes
In the glass, Garbel Brut shows a pale straw-yellow colour with shimmering green highlights and a persistent, fine mousse. The bubbles are delicate and refined, forming a soft, creamy crown on the surface. On the nose, it is immediately inviting, with aromas of crisp green apple, pear, and white peach, backed by notes of acacia blossom, fresh citrus, and a subtle hint of almond. The palate is dry and refreshing (Brut style), with lively acidity that keeps the wine tense and focused. Flavours of pear, Granny Smith apple, lemon zest and a touch of stone fruit are wrapped in a soft, silky texture from the fine bubbles. The finish is clean, mineral, and slightly saline, encouraging another sip. This non-vintage Prosecco is made to be enjoyed in its youth for maximum freshness and vibrancy, ideally within 1–2 years of purchase rather than for long-term aging.

Production
Adami sources the Glera grapes for Garbel from selected hillside vineyards in the Veneto region, where the cool, breezy climate and well-drained, predominantly morainic and alluvial soils help preserve aromatic purity and natural acidity. Grapes are typically harvested by hand to ensure careful selection of healthy, perfectly ripe bunches, preserving the delicate character of the variety. After a gentle pressing, the must is cold-settled and then undergoes a cool, temperature-controlled primary fermentation in stainless steel to retain fresh fruit and floral notes. The second fermentation takes place using the Charmat (tank) method, where the base wine is re-fermented in pressurised stainless-steel tanks to capture its fine sparkle before being filtered and bottled under pressure as Brut, with a dosage calibrated to highlight tension, dryness, and drinkability.

Food & Serving
Adami Prosecco Garbel Brut is an excellent aperitif and pairs beautifully with light, delicately flavoured dishes. Think fresh seafood (shrimp, oysters, scallops), sushi, ceviche, simple fish crudo, or Venetian cicchetti like baccalà mantecato and lightly fried seafood or vegetables. It also works well with salads, prosciutto and melon, mild soft cheeses, and light pasta dishes with vegetables or shellfish. Serve well-chilled at 6–8°C (43–46°F) in a tulip-shaped sparkling wine glass to focus the aromas and preserve the fine mousse. Decanting is not recommended for this style; simply chill the bottle thoroughly, open just before serving, and enjoy its freshness.

Producer
Founded in 1920, Adami is one of the historic and most respected names in Prosecco, based in the hilly heartland of the Veneto region. The family-owned estate was among the pioneers in bottling high-quality Prosecco from individual hillside sites, helping to raise the profile of the region long before Prosecco became internationally famous. With a strong focus on meticulous vineyard work and precise, clean winemaking, Adami has become a reference producer, frequently cited by critics and wine professionals as a benchmark for elegant, terroir-driven Prosecco. Their wines, including Garbel Brut, are celebrated for their balance of freshness, finesse, and authenticity, reflecting both the heritage of the estate and the unique character of the Prosecco hills.
