Aalto Reserva XX Aniversario Dobbeltmagnum is a rare anniversary release created to celebrate 20 years of Bodegas Aalto, one of Ribera del Duero’s most respected modern names. Produced in just 450 bottles and bottled exclusively in 3-liter formats, it combines collectible presentation with the depth and precision that have made Aalto a benchmark for premium Tempranillo in Spain.

Tasting Notes
In the glass, this is a deeply colored, concentrated red with the polish and presence you would expect from a special cuvée of this scale. The nose opens with ripe red and black berries, layered with coffee, cocoa, cedar, and warming spice, giving it both richness and finesse. On the palate, it is powerful and expressive, with velvety, well-integrated tannins, lively acidity, and impressive structure. The long oak maturation adds complexity without overshadowing the fruit, and the finish is elegant, persistent, and built for aging. This is a wine with excellent cellaring potential, capable of evolving beautifully over many years.

Production
Made from 100% Tempranillo, Aalto XX Aniversario brings together carefully selected fruit from three standout vintages: 2016, 2017, and 2018. The grapes come from Castilla y León, where the region’s altitude, continental climate, and contrasting day-night temperatures help preserve freshness while building concentration and ripeness. The wine was aged for 20 to 40 months in oak barrels, contributing layers of spice, structure, and depth. The vinification reflects Aalto’s meticulous approach to quality, with an emphasis on selecting the finest parcels and crafting a wine that balances power, elegance, and long-term potential.

Food & Serving
This is a wine worthy of equally impressive cuisine, such as roast lamb, grilled beef, braised short ribs, game, or mature hard cheeses. It is also an excellent choice alongside truffle dishes or rich mushroom-based preparations. Serve at 16–18°C, and decant for at least 1 to 2 hours if enjoyed young to allow the aromas and texture to fully open.
