Tasting Notes
In the glass, Aalto 2023 typically shows a deep, intense ruby-purple colour. The nose is rich and layered, with dark berries, black cherry, violet, spice, and subtle notes of oak, cocoa, and mineral complexity. On the palate, it is full-bodied and polished, with ripe fruit, firm but refined tannins, and a long, persistent finish. The balance between power and freshness gives the wine excellent development potential, and it should continue to gain complexity over the next several years.

Production
Produced in Ribera del Duero, where old vines and dramatic continental conditions help create wines of remarkable concentration, Aalto 2023 benefits from a terroir shaped by altitude, warm days, and cool nights. This is an excellent match for grilled lamb, roast beef, game, Iberian pork, and richly flavoured stews, as well as mature hard cheeses. Serve at 16–18°C, and decanting for one to two hours is recommended to allow the wine to open fully and soften its structure.
