Hope Marguerite Beaumont 2022 is one of South Africa’s iconic Chenin Blancs, drawn from old bush vines in Bot River and shaped by a cool coastal climate and mineral soils. Tasting Notes
Pale straw to golden in the glass, it opens with lifted aromas of yellow apple, quince, ripe citrus, honey, fresh herbs, and a fine mineral edge. On the palate, it is dense yet elegant, with vibrant acidity, a beautifully textured mouthfeel, and a long, saline finish that brings extra dimension and persistence. This is a wine built for the cellar as much as for the table. While already expressive, it has the structure and balance to develop gracefully over the next several years, gaining even more complexity, texture, and depth with bottle age.

Production
The fruit comes from more than 40-year-old bush vines in Bot River, where cool maritime influence and mineral-rich soils help preserve freshness while building natural intensity. The grapes were harvested by hand, then spontaneously fermented to retain site character and complexity. The wine matured for around 12 months in used French barriques, adding subtle structure and texture without overpowering the fruit.

Food & Serving
An excellent match for fish, roasted poultry, and vegetable-based dishes, as well as mature cheeses and lightly spiced Asian cuisine. Serve chilled, ideally around 10–12°C, and consider brief decanting if you want to open up its aromatics and texture a little more.
