Tasting Notes
Pale to medium gold in the glass, this Chardonnay opens with inviting aromas of pear, Golden Delicious apple, citrus blossom, and a subtle touch of spice. On the palate, it is medium to full-bodied, layered with mature orchard fruit and bright, refreshing acidity that keeps the wine lively and focused. The finish is long and balanced, with a gentle honeyed richness and a fine interplay of fruit, freshness, and oak. It has the structure and concentration to evolve well over the next several years, gaining additional depth and complexity with bottle age.

Production
El Diablo Vineyard sits on a ridge above Eastside Road in the Russian River Valley, where sandy, clay-based marine soils and a cool, fog-influenced climate create ideal conditions for slow, even Chardonnay ripening. The grapes were hand-selected and vinified with a restrained, terroir-focused approach, including native-yeast fermentation and 14 months of aging in French oak barrels, about 30% of them new.
