2019 Kiedrich Turmberg Riesling Brut Nature from Robert Weil is a precise, terroir-driven sparkling wine that showcases one of the Rheingau’s most distinguished single vineyards. Made in the traditional method and aged extensively on the lees, it combines razor-sharp clarity with depth, fine mousse, and unmistakable mineral character.

Tasting Notes
Pale straw in the glass with a lively, persistent bead, it opens with bright citrus, green apple, and white flowers, followed by subtle notes of yeast, herbs, and slate spice. The palate is bone-dry, taut, and deeply focused, with vivid acidity and a saline, chalky-mineral finish that feels long, elegant, and exact. Thanks to its structure and extended lees aging, this wine has excellent aging potential and will continue to develop complexity over time, gaining even more nuance and texture in bottle.

Production
The grapes come from the Kiedrich Turmberg, a 3.8-hectare monopole vineyard in the Rheingau with phyllite slate soils that bring cool mineral tension and finesse. Fruit is hand-harvested selectively, then vinified according to the Méthode traditionnelle, with at least 48 months on the lees to build depth, texture, and complexity while preserving the vineyard’s precise Riesling character.

Food & Serving
This Brut Nature is an excellent aperitif and pairs beautifully with oysters, zander, poultry, and refined Asian dishes. Serve well chilled at around 6–8°C, and decanting is not necessary; simply open shortly before serving to enjoy its freshness and delicate mousse at its best.
