Tasting Notes
Deep and concentrated in the glass, with a vivid ruby-garnet color that hints at its energy and class. The bouquet opens with blackcurrant, blackberry, and ripe dark cherry, layered with violet, cedar, tobacco, and subtle toasted oak. On the palate, it is full-bodied and polished, balancing ripe fruit with refined tannins and a precise line of freshness. Notes of dark chocolate, spice, and graphite carry through to a long, complex finish. This is a wine built for the cellar and should continue to develop beautifully for decades.

Production
The vineyards of Château Lascombes lie in the gravel-rich terroir of Margaux, where clay and limestone add additional texture and precision to the blend. The grapes were hand-harvested with strict selection, then vinified parcel by parcel to preserve detail and site expression. The wine was aged for 18–20 months in French oak barrels, with a significant proportion of new oak, and the final blend is dominated by Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, with Petit Verdot adding further structure and aromatic lift.

Food & Serving
Best served with classic dishes such as filet of beef, rack of lamb, venison, or other richly flavored game. Mature cheeses also make an excellent match. Serve at around 16–18°C, and decant for about 1–2 hours if drinking young to allow the wine to open fully.
