Zaccagnini Montepulciano d’Abruzzo Riserva Casauria San Clemente 2019 is a structured, mature expression of Abruzzo’s signature red grape. Tasting Notes
Deep ruby red with developing garnet hues, this Riserva opens with aromas of ripe black cherry, plum and blackberry, followed by hints of violet, spice, cocoa and subtle oak. The palate is full-bodied and well rounded, with concentrated dark-fruit flavours, balanced acidity and firm yet polished tannins. A savoury, gently spiced finish adds further complexity. The 2019 vintage is enjoyable now, particularly after decanting, and should develop well over the next several years when properly stored.

Produced in Abruzzo from Montepulciano, a variety especially well suited to the region’s sunny climate and varied hillside terroirs. The Riserva designation reflects extended maturation, allowing the wine to develop greater integration, depth and softness than a younger bottling.
