Tasting Notes
In the glass, the wine shows a bright, luminous character that hints at its precision and lift. The nose is wonderfully perfumed, with citrus, pear, and apple layered over the unmistakable slate-driven Mosel minerality. On the palate, it is vibrant and finely textured, with gentle sweetness wrapped around a firm, mouthwatering acidity. Production
The grapes come from the Badstube vineyard in Bernkastel, a Grosse Lage site on the Mosel known for producing some of the region’s most distinguished Rieslings. The terroir is dominated by blue slate, with a touch of clay that adds a little extra depth and breadth to the wine while preserving the site’s signature clarity and tension. The wine undergoes a short skin maceration before fermentation to draw out aromatic complexity without extracting color or tannin. After fermentation, it is aged gently in stainless steel on the lees, which helps build texture, finesse, and additional flavor complexity while keeping the wine pure and precise.

This Feinherb style is a natural match for dishes with a touch of sweetness, salt, or spice. Try it with Asian cuisine, roast pork, grilled chicken, seafood, or mild cheeses. Serve chilled at around 8–10°C, and decanting is not necessary.
