Description

Walter Hansel Chardonnay The North Slope 2023 brings together the generous fruit of California’s Russian River Valley and a refined, Burgundy-inspired style. Its lively freshness, layered character and polished structure make it a compelling choice for Chardonnay lovers seeking both richness and finesse.

Tasting Notes
The nose opens with citrus, green apple, ripe pear and white peach, followed by nuances of toasted hazelnut, butter, vanilla and gentle toast. Subtle mineral notes lend definition and elegance.

Food & Serving
Enjoy it with lobster, langoustines, scallops, butter-seared fish, shellfish or poultry with a creamy sauce. Serve lightly chilled, around 10–12°C, to let its texture and aromatics show; a short spell in the glass should be enough, though a brief decant can help the wine open up.
