Vietti Barolo Villero Riserva 2019

Made from 100% Nebbiolo grown in the celebrated Villero vineyard of Castiglione Falletto, Vietti’s Barolo Villero Riserva is a focused expression of one of Barolo’s most prized sites. Its combination of elegance, depth and finely structured tannins makes it a compelling choice for the cellar as well as the table.

Tasting Notes
A brilliant ruby-red colour leads into an expressive, complex nose of intense red fruit and plum, with an elegant hint of forest floor. The palate is balanced and enveloping, with a silky texture and pronounced yet well-integrated tannins.

Production
The Nebbiolo comes from the Villero vineyard in Castiglione Falletto, a highly regarded Barolo cru. The grapes are harvested by hand, and the wine is matured in oak barrels for approximately 30 months.

Food & Serving
Serve at around 16–18°C with braised beef, slow-cooked lamb, game or dishes featuring truffle and mushrooms. Decant for about an hour before serving to let the wine open, particularly if enjoying it young.
