On the palate, it is full-bodied and sweet, with flavours of exotic fruit balanced by Riesling’s lively acidity. This interplay keeps the wine focused and refreshing despite its luxurious sweetness. Production
The grapes come from the renowned Zeltinger Sonnenuhr vineyard on the Mosel, a steep site traditionally associated with slate-rich soils, excellent exposure and a long, cool ripening season. As a Beerenauslese, the wine was made from individually selected, highly ripe grapes; the description notes that the fruit was hand-picked. The Goldkapsel designation further identifies it as a particularly special selection, with concentration and sweetness balanced by Riesling’s natural acidity.

Food & Serving
Serve lightly chilled at approximately 8–10°C. This mature Beerenauslese is an excellent partner for fruit-based desserts, crème brûlée, pâtisserie and blue or washed-rind cheeses. It can also be enjoyed on its own as a contemplative after-dinner wine. Decanting is not essential, but a careful decant may be useful if sediment is present; otherwise, open gently and pour slowly.
