Venica Collio Pinot Bianco Talis 2025

Venica & Venica’s Tàlis is a fresh, elegant Pinot Bianco that captures the mineral character of Collio, with a balanced saline edge and a gently rounded texture. Pinot Bianco has been cultivated in the area for more than 150 years, making this a contemporary expression of a long-established local grape.

Tasting Notes
The nose is floral and fruit-led, with notes of chamomile, Renetta apple and citrus. On the palate, it is medium-bodied and poised, combining lively freshness with a soft, rounded feel and a clean, mineral finish. No specific aging window is provided.

Production
The grapes are hand-harvested from hillside vineyards in Dolegna del Collio, at elevations of 60–270 metres. The calcareous, stony soils and temperate climate—sheltered by the Julian Alps and moderated by Adriatic breezes—help preserve freshness while encouraging aromatic complexity. After destemming, the grapes undergo oxygen-protected cold skin maceration. Fermentation and five months of lees ageing take place in stainless steel tanks and large oak casks, followed by bottling timed to the phases of the moon.

Food & Serving
Enjoy with seafood, grilled fish, delicate vegetable dishes or a light risotto; its freshness and saline finish also suit mild cheeses. Serve well chilled, around 8–10°C. Decanting is not necessary; open shortly before serving.
