Tiefenbrunner Merus Pinot Bianco 2025 is a refined, dry white wine that captures the freshness and distinctive character of Alto Adige. Made exclusively from Pinot Blanc, it combines floral elegance, crisp acidity and mineral precision, while reflecting the Tiefenbrunner family’s winemaking heritage, which dates back to 1848.

Tasting Notes
The wine shows a clear, bright straw-yellow colour. Its inviting nose reveals delicate floral aromas alongside expressive notes of apple and ripe tropical fruit. On the palate, it is dry and refreshing, with a pleasing acidity and a distinct mineral character that brings energy and balance to the wine. The finish is harmonious, clean and gently rounded by four months of ageing on the fine lees. Best enjoyed in its youth to appreciate its freshness, though its structure should allow it to develop gracefully over the short term.

Production
The Pinot Blanc grapes come from vineyards in and around Cortaccia and Magrè, situated between 210 and 600 metres above sea level. The sites include calcareous, moraine-derived gravel soils in Cortaccia and sandy alluvial soils in Magrè, creating a balance of freshness, fruit expression and mineral detail. Fermentation takes place under temperature-controlled conditions in cement vats, followed by four months of maturation on the fine lees to enhance texture, softness and overall harmony.

Food & Serving
Serve Tiefenbrunner Merus Pinot Bianco lightly chilled at around 8–10°C. Its fresh acidity and mineral profile make it a natural match for seafood, shellfish, grilled fish, fresh salads, asparagus and light pasta dishes, while its floral fruit character also complements poultry and mild fresh cheeses. Decanting is not necessary; simply allow the wine a few minutes in the glass to open and reveal its aromas.

Tiefenbrunner is a historic Alto Adige estate with a winemaking tradition dating back to 1848 and now extending to its fifth generation. The family’s Merus range expresses the pure, approachable character of the region, with the name “Merus” referring to the wine’s clarity and unadorned style. Through its longstanding connection to the vineyards of Cortaccia and Magrè, Tiefenbrunner has become a notable representative of South Tyrolean wine culture.
