The Vinum Barbaresco DOCG 2020 is sourced from south-east–facing slopes in Barbaresco, where early morning sun and cool nighttime temperatures create ideal conditions for Nebbiolo to ripen slowly and evenly. The mixed calcareous and clay-limestone soils impart both elegance and structure, contributing to the wine’s tension and aromatic lift. Grapes are selectively hand-harvested in mid-October, ensuring only perfectly ripe, healthy clusters make it to the cellar. After a controlled fermentation designed to preserve aromatic precision and varietal purity, the wine is matured for a minimum of three years in large Slavonian oak casks, followed by at least six months of bottle aging before release. This combination of careful vineyard work and traditional long cask aging yields a Barbaresco that is both classically structured and distinctly contemporary in its clarity and finesse.
