Terre del Barolo Barolo Monvigliero 2010 is a mature, 100% Nebbiolo Barolo from the celebrated Monvigliero site in Piemonte. With a strong vintage behind it and more than a decade of bottle age, it offers a chance to enjoy Barolo’s traditional character as it develops into savoury, tertiary complexity.

Tasting Notes
Expect a garnet hue with signs of evolution. The nose brings dried rose, cherry, leather and spice, alongside emerging tertiary notes. On the palate, the wine’s mature character is the main attraction, with classic Nebbiolo flavours and a more savoury profile than in its youth. This is a wine to enjoy now rather than cellar for the long term. As with any mature bottle, its condition may vary, so open it carefully and taste before deciding whether it needs further air.

Food & Serving
Serve at around 16–18°C with dishes that complement its savoury, developed character, such as braised beef, roast lamb, mushroom risotto or aged hard cheeses. Open the bottle ahead of serving and taste it first; a short period in a decanter may help, but prolonged decanting could diminish the nuances of a mature wine.
