Production
The grapes came from the Niersteiner Rehbach, one of the historic vineyard sites around Nierstein in Rheinhessen. They were carefully harvested by hand and subjected to the Trockenbeerenauslese selection, meaning only the ripest, most concentrated and naturally dried berries were chosen. This rigorous selection produced a small quantity of intensely sweet, concentrated Riesling, characteristic of Germany’s most prestigious traditional dessert-wine category.

Food & Serving
Serve well chilled, around 8–10°C, allowing the wine to open gradually in the glass. Its richness makes it a natural partner for fruit-based desserts, crème brûlée, honeyed pastries and blue cheese, while its acidity can also complement foie gras or other rich savoury dishes. Decanting is not essential, but careful decanting may be useful to separate any sediment; given the wine’s age, handle the bottle gently and avoid prolonged aeration.
