Description
Sekthaus Raumland Cuvée Katharina Brut Nature 2020 is a finely made German Blanc de Noirs, crafted from Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier. Its traditional bottle fermentation and extended time on the fine lees bring Champagne-inspired complexity to a distinctly German sparkling wine—a style Volker Raumland set out to champion while studying wine.
Tasting Notes
Pale in appearance, it opens with delicate notes of brioche and flowers. A fine, persistent mousse leads into a layered, pleasantly fruity palate, finishing completely dry in keeping with its Brut Nature style.
Production
Made from the red Burgundian varieties Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier, the base wine is vinified as a Blanc de Noirs. The wines mature for an extended period on the fine lees before undergoing traditional bottle fermentation. Specific vineyard and harvest details are not provided.
