Tasting Notes
The wine displays a brilliant, deep golden colour. Its intense bouquet reveals layers of exotic fruit, ripe peach, dried apricot, honey and candied citrus, complemented by delicate spice and subtle mineral nuances. On the palate, it is rich, full-bodied and beautifully concentrated, with luscious sweetness balanced by refreshing Riesling acidity. The finish is exceptionally long, elegant and persistent, leaving notes of honeyed fruit and fine minerality. Already mature and highly expressive, this 2007 Trockenbeerenauslese can be enjoyed now but has the structure and acidity to develop further in bottle for many years—potentially several decades when stored under ideal conditions.

Production
The grapes come from the steep, south-facing slopes of the Schlossberg in the Rheingau, where the combination of sun exposure, river influence and mineral-rich soils creates ideal conditions for noble Riesling. For a Trockenbeerenauslese, only individually shrivelled, botrytised berries with exceptional concentration are selected, and the harvest is carried out by hand in multiple passes. The resulting wine is made in very small quantities, preserving the intense fruit character, natural sweetness and balance characteristic of this distinguished style.

Food & Serving
Serve well chilled at approximately 8–10°C. Its richness and acidity make it a superb partner for foie gras, blue cheeses and mature hard cheeses, while its notes of exotic fruit complement fruit-based desserts, crème brûlée and pastries. It is equally rewarding on its own as a contemplative wine for a special occasion. Decanting is not essential, but a brief decant can help reveal its aromatic complexity; alternatively, open the bottle shortly before serving and pour gently, especially if sediment has developed.
