Pol Roger’s prestige cuvée, Sir Winston Churchill 2012 is a full-bodied, polished Champagne that honours the British statesman’s enduring friendship with the house. Already expressive, it also has the structure to reward extended cellaring.

Tasting Notes
The 2012 opens with aromas of candied lemon, chamomile, dried flowers and mint, alongside warming spice and a hint of brioche. On the palate, it is generous and textural, with layers of citrus and spice balanced by an elegant, finely composed finish. Time in the glass brings added aromatic lift and lightness. Enjoyable now, this vintage has the pedigree to develop gracefully over decades when stored in suitable conditions.

Food & Serving
Serve at around 10–12°C in a tulip-shaped Champagne glass, allowing the wine room to reveal its aromas. It pairs beautifully with roast poultry, turbot or other rich white fish, and mature hard cheeses. Decanting is not essential, but a few minutes in the glass will help the wine open up.

Founded in 1849, Pol Roger is one of Champagne’s historic family-owned houses. Its close association with Winston Churchill inspired this prestige cuvée, first released with the 1975 vintage. The wine remains a distinctive expression of the house’s long-standing connection with Churchill and its place among Champagne’s leading producers.
