A rare single-vineyard Brunello di Montalcino, Pian dell’Orino’s 2010 Bassolino di Sopra is made from 100% Sangiovese and earned a 100-point rating from Wine Advocate. From a vintage widely regarded as one of Montalcino’s modern greats, it balances concentration with elegance and freshness.

Tasting Notes
The wine shows ripe cherry and dark-berry character, layered with floral notes, spice, balsamic herbs and mineral accents. Its deep structure is balanced by fine tannins and a long, persistent finish. Already compelling after its time in bottle, it can continue to develop with careful cellaring. Store it in suitable conditions to preserve its remaining aging potential.
