Description

Peter Sisseck’s PSI 2023 offers a fresh, approachable expression of Ribera del Duero, drawing on the region’s many small vineyards. Tempranillo and Garnacha combine in a wine that balances generous fruit with freshness and finely textured tannins.

Tasting Notes
The nose brings ripe cherry and plum, lifted by herbal and floral nuances. On the palate, the wine is medium-bodied and juicy, with fine-grained tannins and a refreshing line that keeps the ripe fruit in balance.

Production
PSI is made from Tempranillo complemented by Garnacha, with fruit sourced from a network of small Ribera del Duero vineyards. Maturation takes place predominantly in large oak vats, allowing the fruit to remain at the forefront. Harvesting methods and further vinification details are not specified.

Food & Serving
Try it with braised oxtail: the wine’s bright fruit and structure offer a lively counterpoint to the dish’s richness. Serve at around 16–18°C; a short spell in a decanter can help the aromas open up.
