Perrier-Jouët Belle Époque Brut 2018 is a prestige-vintage Champagne blending Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier, known for its fine mousse and polished, mineral character. Created by a house founded in Épernay in 1811, Belle Époque is one of Perrier-Jouët’s signature cuvées and a celebrated expression of the region.

Tasting Notes
Pale gold with green highlights, it shows a fine, persistent stream of bubbles. The aromatic profile brings together citrus, white peach, pear and grapefruit with notes of pineapple, white flowers, marzipan and sweet spice. On the palate, the Champagne is mineral and fresh, with a rounded, silky texture and a long finish. Its balance and structure give it the potential to develop gracefully in the cellar; enjoy it now for its freshness or allow it to mature further.

Production
Made in Champagne, the cuvée reflects the region’s distinctive climate and soils, which help shape its freshness and structure. The grapes are harvested with care to preserve natural acidity, then vinified using the traditional method, with secondary fermentation in bottle. The wine spends around five years ageing in the cellars before release, and a moderate Brut dosage brings a dry, harmonious finish.

Food & Serving
Serve well chilled at 6–8°C. Its freshness and mineral character pair naturally with shellfish, fine fish dishes and richer preparations such as Catalan-style lobster. Decanting is generally unnecessary for Champagne; pour gently and give it a few minutes in the glass to open up.
