Description

Réserve de Pichon Comtesse 2023 is the second wine of Château Pichon Longueville Comtesse de Lalande, offering a polished expression of Pauillac in magnum format. Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot bring together dark-fruit clarity and measured structure; Jeb Dunnuck awarded the vintage 94 points.

Tasting Notes
The nose brings together cassis and dark cherry with hints of smoky tobacco and spiced wood. Medium-bodied and layered on the palate, it has ripe tannins, balanced structure and a long finish. Its fruit and tannin suggest a wine that can be enjoyed young with some aeration or cellared to allow the flavours to develop. A precise drinking window has not been provided.

Food & Serving
Serve at around 16–18°C. It should pair well with roast lamb, grilled beef or other richly flavoured meats, as well as hard, aged cheeses. If opening young, decant for about an hour to give the wine time to breathe.
