Ornellaia Poggio alle Gazze 2024 is an elegant Tuscan white wine that combines the aromatic character of Sauvignon Blanc with the Mediterranean freshness of Vermentino and the floral richness of Viognier. Produced at Ornellaia in Castagneto Carducci, it reflects the estate’s commitment to crafting refined wines from the coastal terroir of Tuscany.

Tasting Notes
Bright straw yellow in appearance, the wine opens with intense aromas of white fruit, complemented by delicate hints of vanilla. On the palate, it is broad, soft and generously textured, showing notable fullness and a savoury, well-balanced character. Fresh acidity carries the wine through to a persistent finish. It is particularly appealing in its youth, when its fruit and freshness are at their most expressive, and can develop additional complexity with short-term bottle ageing.

Production
The grapes are hand-harvested in 15 kg crates during the early morning hours and immediately cooled upon arrival at the cellar. This careful handling helps preserve the grapes’ aromatic potential in Tuscany’s warm coastal climate. The blend of Sauvignon Blanc, Vermentino and Viognier brings together freshness, fragrance and body, resulting in a polished Toscana IGT white wine.

Food & Serving
Serve chilled at approximately 10–12°C. Its broad texture and refreshing finish make it a natural partner for seafood, shellfish, grilled fish, sushi, fresh pasta with herbs and light cream sauces, as well as roast poultry and soft cheeses. Decanting is not necessary, although opening the bottle shortly before serving allows its aromas to unfold.
