Nicolas Jacob’s 2020 VdF is a mature Jura red whose several years in bottle have brought out notable complexity. Its combination of ripe fruit, woodland character, lively acidity and rustic tannins gives it a distinctive, food-friendly profile.

Tasting Notes
The wine’s colour is not specified. On the nose, deep forest notes meet sweet, ripe fruit; the palate brings these flavours together with firm acidity and rustic tannins. It is already showing the benefits of bottle age and should be enjoyed for its current complexity.

Food & Serving
Try it with mushroom dishes, roast poultry or other earthy, savoury fare. Serve slightly cool, around 14–16°C. A short spell in a decanter may help open the aromas; taste first, as the wine has already spent several years in bottle.
