Description

Made entirely from Nebbiolo at Gattinara’s oldest winery, Nervi-Conterno Gattinara is an elegant, full-bodied expression of Alto Piemonte. Its long maturation in large oak casks and its roots in a historic wine-growing area give it both poise and a strong sense of place.

Tasting Notes
Bright ruby in colour, the wine opens with a refined, complex bouquet. Aromas of medicinal herbs, mugwort, gentian, lemon balm and juniper mingle with cherry, dried flowers, forest floor and mistletoe, followed by hints of blood-orange peel and a deep, smoky note.

Production
Made from 100% Nebbiolo in Gattinara DOCG, in the Alto Piemonte, the wine is fermented in temperature-controlled stainless-steel tanks and matured for 36 months in 10- and 30-hectolitre casks.
