Louis Roederer Cristal 2008 is a powerful yet finely detailed vintage Champagne, presented here in a double magnum with a premium original wooden case. First created in 1876 for Tsar Alexander II, Cristal remains one of Champagne’s most celebrated prestige cuvées.

Tasting Notes
The 2008 shows a pale golden hue, with the fine, persistent bubbles expected of a mature vintage Champagne. Its focused nose and palate bring together crushed stone, lemon zest, graphite, mint, lime, chalk and white flowers. Intense and intricately layered, it reflects a cool year with a late-ripening season. Its structure and concentration give it strong potential for further cellaring, while careful storage will help preserve its freshness and complexity.

Production
Made from Pinot Noir and Chardonnay grown in Champagne, Cristal draws on Louis Roederer’s estate vineyards. The 2008 vintage is noted for its cool conditions and late ripening; further details on the harvest and vinification of this bottle have not been provided.
