Tasting Notes
Bright gold with youthful green reflections, this Riesling opens with an expressive bouquet of lemon and other citrus fruits, ripe peach and apricot. Fine mineral nuances and a subtle herbal note add depth and complexity. On the palate, it is concentrated yet remarkably energetic, with generous stone-fruit and citrus flavours supported by lively acidity and a distinct mineral structure. The finish is long, elegant and refreshing. With its balance, depth and firm acidity, the 2020 vintage has excellent potential to develop further in bottle over the coming years.

Production
The Hipping vineyard in Nierstein is known for its steep, challenging slopes and mineral-rich red soils, which lend the wines both tension and a pronounced sense of place. The Riesling grapes are hand-harvested and carefully selected before being gently pressed to preserve their freshness and aromatic precision. The resulting wine reflects the site through its combination of ripe fruit, mineral character and focused acidity.

Food & Serving
Serve lightly chilled at around 10–12°C. This refined Riesling is an excellent match for delicate fish, shellfish and seafood, while its acidity and mineral character also complement Asian-inspired dishes, sashimi and lightly spiced cuisine. Decanting is not essential, but a short period of aeration in a large glass or a brief decant can help reveal its full complexity, particularly when enjoyed young.
