Kistler’s 2023 Durell Vineyard Chardonnay is a concentrated, powerful single-vineyard wine, distinguished by its creamy depth and distinctive phenolic character. It reflects the producer’s long-standing focus on site-specific California Chardonnay.

Tasting Notes
A dense, expressive Chardonnay with aromas and flavours of apricot, dried pear, chamomile, dried herbs and mandarin peel. A subtle truffle note adds an exotic savouriness to its creamy, deep palate, while a pronounced phenolic edge brings definition and character. Its concentration and structure suggest it can develop further in bottle, though a specific drinking window is not available.

Food & Serving
Serve lightly chilled, around 10–12°C, to let the wine’s aromas and texture show at their best. It would pair well with roast chicken, seared scallops, lobster or creamy mushroom dishes. Give it a little time in the glass; decanting is optional, but a brief decant may help open it up.
