Kettmeir Alto Adige Chardonnay 2025

Kettmeir Alto Adige Chardonnay 2025 is a fresh, elegantly structured white wine that reflects the distinctive mountain character of Alto Adige. Made from 100% Chardonnay and sourced from vineyards at 350–600 metres above sea level, it combines ripe fruit, lively acidity and a clean, refreshing finish. Kettmeir has been part of Alto Adige’s winemaking tradition since 1919.

Tasting Notes
Bright straw yellow in colour, this Chardonnay offers a delicate, inviting bouquet of ripe Golden Delicious apple and subtle banana, complemented by a clean, fresh character. On the palate, it is dry and well balanced, with crisp acidity, pleasing fullness and a smooth, persistent finish. Its freshness makes it especially enjoyable in its youth, while careful cellaring for the next few years may allow the fruit and texture to develop further.

Production
The grapes are grown in Alto Adige’s elevated vineyards, situated between 350 and 600 metres above sea level, where cool conditions help preserve Chardonnay’s natural freshness. After gentle pressing, the must is fermented without the skins in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature. The wine then rests on its lees in stainless steel until the end of January, preserving its fruit, freshness and supple texture.

Food & Serving
A versatile choice for seafood, shellfish, grilled fish, fresh pasta with light sauces and salads featuring poultry or soft cheese. Serve chilled at around 8–10°C. Decanting is not necessary; simply allow the wine a few minutes in the glass to reveal its delicate aromas.
