Kellerei Bozen Ceslar Gewürztraminer is an aromatic, dry white wine from Alto Adige DOC, made from Traminer Aromatico. Produced by Kellerei Bozen, a cooperative with roots dating back to 1908, it combines the variety’s expressive perfume with a refined structure, gentle freshness and a smooth, full-bodied palate.

Tasting Notes
The wine has an intense straw-yellow colour with attractive golden reflections. Its aromatic nose opens with fragrant notes of rose and lychee, followed by grapefruit and lime, while subtle nuances of orange peel, clove and cinnamon add complexity. On the palate, it is full-bodied, layered and supple, with a pleasing freshness that keeps the wine balanced despite its generous texture. It is delicious to enjoy now, when its floral and fruit-driven character is at its most expressive, and is best served while young and vibrant.

Production
The grapes come from Alto Adige vineyards situated between 250 and 700 metres above sea level, where the region’s varied elevations help preserve freshness and aromatic intensity. After a short maceration, the grapes undergo gentle pressing before temperature-controlled fermentation in stainless steel tanks. This carefully managed approach highlights the natural perfume and purity of the Traminer Aromatico without adding oak influence.

Food & Serving
Serve well chilled at approximately 8–10°C. Its aromatic profile and balanced freshness make it an excellent match for Asian cuisine, mildly spicy dishes, aromatic poultry, smoked fish, shellfish and soft, mature cheeses. Decanting is not necessary; simply open shortly before serving to allow the wine’s floral and citrus aromas to develop in the glass.

Founded in 1908, Kellerei Bozen is one of Alto Adige’s established wine producers and is known for its high quality standards and dedicated team. The winery draws on approximately 350 hectares of vineyards, located across the area’s distinctive hillside and valley sites. This broad vineyard base, combined with careful grape selection and precise cellar work, supports the production of expressive regional wines such as this Gewürztraminer.
