Joseph Roty’s 2020 Cuvée de Champs Chenys is a richly flavoured Pinot Noir from Gevrey-Chambertin, balancing ripe dark fruit with freshness and fine structure. Jasper Morris awarded it 93 points, recognising a vintage that combines depth with an elegant, lingering finish.

Tasting Notes
The palate centres on cherry, blackberry and plum, with notes of liquorice, flowers and chocolate adding complexity. Its full-bodied fruit is held in balance by fresh acidity and firm tannins, while a velvety texture leads to a powerful, persistent finish. Its fruit, acidity and tannic structure suggest it can develop with further bottle age, though no specific drinking window is provided.

Food & Serving
